This track emerged out of research into self-harm. I used the Free Loop Sample Pack loops from Hebephrenic, seeking to create a mournful dark ambient feel, which their superb sounds made possible. Research on, interest in and experience of self-harm led to the recording of this piece evoking the world of self-harmers, some of whom have lauded it. It's rare for Datawhore to venture into issue-based collage that isn't sardonic and I hope this is the beginning of a new and more real phase of my work.
