I started with a snippet of a synth trumpet playing a military bugle call, therefore "rouse", this blended with Ed Drury gorgeous loops, and voila!

Edrury said, " Very intense piece which has a throbbing tambura like quality holding togeher a wide spectrum of sound. Heavy listening. I liked, especially, how you used the tremolo guitar samples to create a dramatic tension in the final minute or so as well as the last voice in the composition."
