Michael A Cosma 10330 plays of 24 songs --> tapegerm home
Former Lead Guitar player with Rogue Elephant finds new home on Tapegerm! After R.elephant disbanded I made tapes as Orpheus , now I jam with Justin Frederick in Aspect and make my own solo tracks. I also appear on several Hal McGee projects and FDR. I have recorded with Red Soda and Jason Butler, and finally Mark Cuzick in Neuroplaster MAWG. Much of this material can be downloaded for free at my Mudball website. I rock like a mad viper sneering at you with sarcastic banter. My music is constructed five to six levels outside of our current dimension using a spiralhelix wormhole ladder. It is compressed and then fortified, mystified, and finally electrofied. I then serve it on an mp3 platter using a light particle spinwheel. Don't try this at home.

My first attempt at a tape germ track. Made use of the sample pack for some of the main song structure and background elements. Added live guitar and vocals. Made use of various royalty free loop cd's mostly my acid fanatic ones on this one. Software used was Magix Music Maker Deluse version 10. Peavey guitar and vocals recorded through a Rockman fed into my computer. Recorded in the span of two nights. Credits: free loop sample pack, m.cosma, acid fanatic

untugorth
863 plays
03:47
Genre: Big Badd & Ugly
Album: you baddies

The front piece is a guitar work I came up with last night using some alternate tuning. I wanted to do something with the piece so what better than a new tapegerm track. I also liked "see it all" the last song icecreamofdeath did so I wanted to incorporate that into this piece as well - the monstrous ending was a perfect slot. Hal's loops perfectectly accent the intro part. Recent feedback...

The Scazors
"That was an interesting journey, and to think we had Buzzsaw in the sidecar, tears of joy streaming from his eyes as we attained speeds of interdimensional impossibility. Or in plain language, a very good mix, with an excellent choice of loops. Here's my dollar, give me another ticket for a seat on this groovy carnival ride."

The Scazors
"A most wonderful drive of tousled hair and expanded dimensions through an alternate bayou. The Scazors I understand are possessed of the greatest amount of superlatives known, and even that supply was unequal to my task of praising this engaging mix. A bravo, long and echo-ey at length suffice. We must drive again. "

ARC2 Chaos Rev
"Much more atmospheric for sure than the first one. A delicious slice of alien audio. :-)"

ArcaneReconstructorChaos
"A top notch mash up here, quite the mesmerizing piece if I do say so in this mix mashup."

"An undeniable encore. Much thanks for using my pieces again. I love what you've done with them."

I started a Facebook group with "music projects" in mind. Find it here http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=47325281583 or if the link doesn't work just search Facebook for the Little Mikey's Noise Factory Group. My master plan is to find a few more outlets and then group them all on my mudballrecords.com website. I have a project on Kompoz also right now http://morphx99mq.kompoz.com - looking for strange collaborators on these and other projects.

Games Free

I have been playing a lot of awesome FREE online games lately. Just thought I'd share the names with you in case any one is looking for some free fun. The best one "Silkroad" Great finished game complete with Quests and everything else tons of people online playing it. My other favorite is "Conquer" the graphics are more old school but it is sooo fun to play. "Thang" is cool too some strange morphing creatures - nice graphics - but the quests aren't ready yet. The company that makes "Thang" also makes one called "Deicide" that is also pretty good but I still prefer "Silkroad" and "Conquer".

Contact me for collaboration and more.

I am willing to collaborate on music for tapegerm. Also, I am about to make a new website that will have a portion dedicated to music - underground/indie. I won't be doing anything as elaborate as tapegerm but if any tape germ artist needs or would like an additional web page with several mp3 or ogg files I could help make that happen. Find me when I'm online thoriousburden on aim.
