Michael A Cosma 11597 plays of 27 songs --> tapegerm home
Former Lead Guitar player with Rogue Elephant finds new home on Tapegerm! After R.elephant disbanded I made tapes as Orpheus , now I jam with Justin Frederick in Aspect and make my own solo tracks. I also appear on several Hal McGee projects and FDR. I have recorded with Red Soda and Jason Butler, and finally Mark Cuzick in Neuroplaster MAWG. Much of this material can be downloaded for free at my Mudball website. I rock like a mad viper sneering at you with sarcastic banter. My music is constructed five to six levels outside of our current dimension using a spiralhelix wormhole ladder. It is compressed and then fortified, mystified, and finally electrofied. I then serve it on an mp3 platter using a light particle spinwheel. Don't try this at home.

My first attempt at a tape germ track. Made use of the sample pack for some of the main song structure and background elements. Added live guitar and vocals. Made use of various royalty free loop cd's mostly my acid fanatic ones on this one. Software used was Magix Music Maker Deluse version 10. Peavey guitar and vocals recorded through a Rockman fed into my computer. Recorded in the span of two nights. Credits: free loop sample pack, m.cosma, acid fanatic

Genre: Big Badd & Ugly
Album: you baddies

The front piece is a guitar work I came up with last night using some alternate tuning. I wanted to do something with the piece so what better than a new tapegerm track. I also liked "see it all" the last song icecreamofdeath did so I wanted to incorporate that into this piece as well - the monstrous ending was a perfect slot. Hal's loops perfectectly accent the intro part. My First track of 2010 and I do it on TapeGerm! For this track I took 2 David Fuglewicz tracks "Arcane Chaos" and "The Reconstructor" I cut chunks out of both tracks using Audacity and modified the chunks. I then constructed the arrangement in LMMS. From there I did a second arrangement using Jokosher finally ending up back in Audacity for some final tweaks. Credits: David Fuglewicz, C. So bandcamp is a cool site. It sucks that I have to upload wav files but aside from that everything is completely awesome. So my new art project "suspended tapes" is on there now - 4 new lo-fi tracks with a pdf of photos of the disposable art. http://aspect.bandcamp.com/ completely free download - this stuff was recorded with this cheap tape recorder - I love the Lo-Fi! Entire project completed yesterday in a matter of hours.

I have been playing a lot of awesome FREE online games lately. Just thought I'd share the names with you in case any one is looking for some free fun. The best one "Silkroad" Great finished game complete with Quests and everything else tons of people online playing it. My other favorite is "Conquer" the graphics are more old school but it is sooo fun to play. "Thang" is cool too some strange morphing creatures - nice graphics - but the quests aren't ready yet. The company that makes "Thang" also makes one called "Deicide" that is also pretty good but I still prefer "Silkroad" and "Conquer".

Contact me for collaboration and more.

I won't be doing anything as elaborate as tapegerm but if any tape germ artist needs or would like an additional web page with several mp3 or ogg files I could help make that happen. Find me when I'm online thoriousburden on aim.
