Michael A Cosma 5125 plays of 7 songs --> tapegerm home
Former Lead Guitar player with Rogue Elephant finds new home on Tapegerm! After R.elephant disbanded I made tapes as Orpheus , now I jam with Justin Frederick in Aspect and make my own solo tracks. I also appear on several Hal McGee projects and FDR. I have recorded with Red Soda and Jason Butler, and finally Mark Cuzick in Neuroplaster MAWG. Much of this material can be downloaded for free at my Mudball website. I rock like a mad viper sneering at you with sarcastic banter. My music is constructed five to six levels outside of our current dimension using a spiralhelix wormhole ladder. It is compressed and then fortified, mystified, and finally electrofied. I then serve it on an mp3 platter using a light particle spinwheel. Don't try this at home.

Genre: Green Alien

My first attempt at a tape germ track. Made use of the sample pack for some of the main song structure and background elements. Added live guitar and vocals. Made use of various royalty free loop cd's mostly my acid fanatic ones on this one. Software used was Magix Music Maker Deluse version 10. Peavey guitar and vocals recorded through a Rockman fed into my computer. Recorded in the span of two nights. Credits: free loop sample pack, m.cosma, acid fanatic

I used the beginning of an unreleased Aspect song track 5 from our 4-4-04 session, loops from tapegerm, quidloops, acidloops(industrial toolkit), Magix7loopsbasic(c), a nice little noise maker called Adsyndx, and some live guitar using my Fender Lead 2 through a Dod tech 8 box. Hope you like. Credits: Hal McGee Open Loops, Don Campau Guest Artist, Kid Loops Project, Free Loop Project 013

untugorth

Genre: Big Badd & Ugly
Album: you baddies

The front piece is a guitar work I came up with last night using some alternate tuning. I wanted to do something with the piece so what better than a new tapegerm track. I also liked "see it all" the last song icecreamofdeath did so I wanted to incorporate that into this piece as well - the monstrous ending was a perfect slot. Hal's loops perfectectly accent the intro part. "Captain Beefhart battles with Frank Zappa while Hawkwind storms the stage, Michael stands tall and quells the rabble with dreams of honey soaked guitar licks."

"This is one of the creepiest songs ever. I think I\'m going to have nightmares now. In other words, excellent stuff."

"The unsettled mindset of the Comte de Chambord that evening in Versailles over whether to accept the tricolour or remain with the fleur-de-lis runs through this mix as a theme. Then there is a sudden channeling to the Seventh Isonzo done in a masterly way that astounds. Caps off, dear sir. "

MESSAGES

Games Free

I have been playing a lot of awesome FREE online games lately. Just thought I'd share the names with you in case any one is looking for some free fun. The best one "Silkroad" Great finished game complete with Quests and everything else tons of people online playing it. My other favorite is "Conquer" the graphics are more old school but it is sooo fun to play. "Thang" is cool too some strange morphing creatures - nice graphics - but the quests aren't ready yet. The company that makes "Thang" also makes one called "Deicide" that is also pretty good but I still prefer "Silkroad" and "Conquer".

Contact me for collaboration and more.

I am willing to collaborate on music for tapegerm. Also, I am about to make a new website that will have a portion dedicated to music - underground/indie. I won't be doing anything as elaborate as tapegerm but if any tape germ artist needs or would like an additional web page with several mp3 or ogg files I could help make that happen. Find me when I'm online thoriousburden on aim.
