Buzzsaw & The Shavings

Quinctilius Varus, Where Are My Eagles?      (05:18)

251 hi-fi plays, 94 lofi plays, 168 downloads, 2 comments

While extending the blessings of Civilisation in a rainy green forest between the Rhine and the Elbe, all suddenly becomes a curse when in a burst of lightning and a fall of squall line, the legions of Varus are suddenly ambushed and at once overburden the little craft of Charon crossing the Styx and taking the Eagle standards along with them into Oblivion. A little while later in Rome, Caesar Augustus, a trifle beyond a rage, is heard to ask a frequent question.

Don Campau said, "A wonderfully wicked twisting of the masterful Cystem loopage.Nice understated use of sound sources (trumpeters call) and lovely drone conclusion.Splendid accomplishment."

Mental Anguish said, "The sensational sounds of the latest mix by Buzzsaw & the Shavings permeated the Teutoburg Forest, the legions of Varus are overcome by the Germanic tribes & the sounds of this latext mixery. The outcome of the battle not only established the Rhine as the boundary of The Roman Empire for the next few hundred years but the mixery also established the theme song as well :-) up until the decline of the Roman influence in the West. Augustus in a fit of rage asked "Quintili Vare, legiones redde!" ('Quintilius Varus, give me back my legions!') often misquoted as "give me back my eagles". Bravo Herr Buzzsaw on another brilliant mixery!"
