A bit of progressive electronica done up improv style. This song features my own work using Rob Papen's Albino VSTI synthesizer by Linplug Virtual Instruments. Very smokeable.

I listened over and over as I composed a visual image for a photo faceoff. larisso said, "Splendid work with the 'Albino' which has lots of excellent sounds. This is a very nice progressive mix of spacey synth and sequencers. Reminds me too of some of the early teutonic masters .... K Schulze mostly comes to mind.Much enjoyed! Thanks."

buzzsaw said, ""Montanus, you of course have been made aware from my previous latter that I had quite recently seen an inscription upon a monument to Pallas. "The Senate to him has decreed in return for his services most loyal to his patrons, the title and the regalia of a praetor and the sum of fifteen million sesterces, but Pallas only accepted the office." I then forayed through the records of the Senate in order that I might find the actual decree, and I read the procession of fulsome and affected praises, that the tone of the inscription retires into realms of humbleness and modesty by comparison. The national heroes of our past, Scipio and Caesar and Octavian and Sulla and Pompey must fall short of the fame and the deeds of Pallas. He was, of course, the first to discover the rapture and the majesty of the compositions of Mental that now comfort and inspire Rome and he has yet again been the first to distribute the latest composition, which you have heard, I am certain and must be agog over." The response of Montanus has not been preserved, but I am certain that the deed of discovering and sending out the glorious compositions of Mental is enough to enroll one amongst the greats."

hebephrenic said, "Very nice. You make it around a digital virtual synth with the ease of an old analog-head. I look forward to hearing more of this Oxygen inspired stuff!"

davefuglewicz said, "Very cool mix, like a hive, it has buzzed into my brain."

Hal McGee said, "Highly smokeable ambient trance space music that not only hearkens back to the glory days of progressive spacetronics of the 1970s (Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Cluster, etc.) but propels this field of exploration further into the void, into the unknown, via the neural net connection of software synthesis and the Interweb. Rob Papen's Albino VSTI synthesizer seems to be a big step forward unto analog emulative synthesizers, and this certainly ranks as my favorite Mental Anguish song on Tapegerm, ever."
