Michael Thomas Jackson

Michael Thomas Jackson was first infected with the tape germ twenty years ago in Memphis, TN, when he began recording home-fashioned electronic music as CEPHALIC INDEX. Ever since he has remained active as a composer, multi-instrumentalist and consumate audio freak. He has been involved in projects as varied as avant-rock, plunderphonics, free improvisation, and fully notated compositions and has collaborated with numerous groups and individuals including Hal McGee, Chris Phinney, Eugene Chadbourne, Sunny Cuba, Rompecabeza, Skoweyajeed, and Spool Ensemble to name a few. Currently, Michael resides in North Carolina where he remains active composing, performing, recording, and releases music through his PRIMECUTS RECORDINGS imprint.
