Tapegerm Collective is a looping and mixing collective that is celebrating
their 5th year with a special event: 24 HOUR FLU.

Please come with us and make some awesome fresh music and have a nice stay
at Tapegerm.com with this special 24 hour happening!

24 Hour Flu is a special event that is intended as a online festival with
lots of live mixing, looping and hanging around. We will use our loop pool
that will be made especially for this event. Whether you prefer contributing
with an "offline" mix or prefer to do a live stream, you are welcome to join
us!
After the 24 Hour Flu Tapegerm plans to release an mp3 album with mixes from
both the live streaming and offline mixing.

Q: What do I need to be a part of this?
A: A computer and some freewares to ftp, chat and/or stream. Please visit
our technical reference page if you want more details. You'll also be
directed on the irc chat on how to connect your stream etcetera.
It is preferred to have a fast Internet connection but even those on 56k
modem should feel free to be a part of this.

Q: Why should I be a part of the 24 Hour Flu?
A: Just for the fun of making music along with other likeminded people!

Q: What does it cost to be a part of this?
A: Nothing!

Q: Do I need to stay awake all 24 hours?
A: No, you can decide for yourself when and how much you participate in the
online activities.

Q: Where do you guys come from?
A: We come from all over the world. We've had and have members from most
continents.

Q: When will it start?
A: Saturday the 9th of july 00:00 PM CDT (Central Daylight Time =
UTC/GMT-5). (Midnight time between friday and saturday in US)For time

Q: When will it stop?
A: 24 hours later!

Q: When will the ending live streaming occur?
A: It starts at Saturday the 9th of july 7:00 AM CDT (Central Daylight Time
=UTC/GMT-5) and it ends 5 hours later.

Q: What about copyright and such?
A: Mixes are copyright collectively by Tapegerm AND the artist who created
them. You may upload your works to your own sites and you may include these
works on CD's or otherwise do with them as you would any other composition
you control. However, for each track you must credit Tapegerm AND credit any
artist whose loops are present in the track.
The loops and samples are copyright Tapegerm AND the artist who created
them. You may use any additional samples and loops of your own to make a mix
or live stream.

Q: What happens after the 24 Hour Flu?
A: Our doctors warn that you will probably get infected and will crave
more... and we for sure will make an mp3 album for download with the mixes
from this event.
