Tapegerm Collective is a looping and mixing collective. We celebrated
their 5th year with a special event: 24 HOUR FLU.

WHAT WAS THIS?

24 Hour Flu was a special event on the 9th of july, 2005 intended as an online festival with live mixing, looping and hanging around. We used a loop pool that was  made especially for this event. The day ended with a live streaming on the web (see line-up to the left) where some of the participating artist did live mixing or played special selected tracks for this celebrating day. 

The basic idea here was to let loop-based composers download the loops and use them to create a new song or unique mix, freely adding any elements they desired. Thereafter they'd choose on either mix live on the stream or upload the tracks to our ftp for later adding to the mp3 album. (see below).
