WHAT IS THIS?

Free Loop guest artist pages offer a selection of royalty-free loops either directly submitted by guest artists or extracted from CD's available from the artist.

The idea here is for loop-based composers to download the loops and use them to create a new song or unique mix, freely adding any elements they desire.

Once you sign up for an account & put your info & band image & create a mix using loops from the Free Sample Pack & upload it.Your account will be activated further & you will have access to the loops,sign up for an account HERE.

In addition, once we've collected an album's worth of material we will assemble it onto a CD which should further promote your efforts.

The loops here are royalty free and resulting mixes can be released by Tapegerm, the Free Loop Guest artist, and the artist making the mix in whatever fashion they choose. It's the sort of viral distribtution method we like.

About the track:This is another Bastard mix I guess . Originally I just wanted to make something to practice playing the keyboard with. But after a few takes I thought it sounded pretty cool so I mastered it in Sound Forge and.....well.....here it is. About the track:Originally meant to be a mix for the Thy Modern Orchestra page, which has now gone bye-bye. Some other things (like vocal loops from AutoCad) ended up in the thing, so, hey, Bastard Mix page here we come. The idea is simple: the softer side of trance meets the dancefloor in alternating sections, until the dancefloor section takes over full force ... eventually to be joined by the softer side plus some. After some deliberation, I kicked up the bass and did some fiddling to make the track punchy, rather than formally well-balanced; there's also some deliverate overaturation because I likes me a bit of dirt in my mixes. I like this piece a lot -- it's dog-arse simple, and was done quickly, but it has character and a nice big pair of brass bollocks when it gets up to speed.
