Working Waves 08:22/128k
This track is a bit of an experiment with mangled loops in an ambient setting. Does it do anything for you, or is it just a pile of old rubbish? Distance Yourself 05:32/128k
I have used some of CYSTEM's recently contributed guitar loops (thank you CYSTEM) as the foundation of this track, added a rhythm track from various loop sources and added some of my own samples. Hope you like it. Credits: CYSTEM open loops. Genre: Electronica. Created: 13 Jan 2007 10:14 AM. Plays: 785

My name is David Pletts and I live in East Anglia, UK. I am 67 and have worked in various jobs including printing, teaching and working on the British railway system. Almost all my life I have had an interest in music, and for many years on and off have been a church organist. About 25 years ago I became interested in electronics, particularly in sound producing equipment. I bought a small synthesisier and did some multi-track recording. Next an interest in computing meant that I was using computers (Ataris and Amigas) for composing, using trackers.
Now I still use some pretty basic, inexpensive, software for music making, mainly employing Magix Music Maker, Cubasis VST 5, and AudioMulch with many VST instruments and effects to create sounds and sequence them in addition to using 'found' loops and samples from various sources. Other examples of my music can be found at http://www.soundclick.com/208andahalf
By-the-way, all the song illustrations are made by my own graphics program PikQuik 3. It's a free program. You can find more information about it and it can be downloaded from http://www.hometown.aol.co.uk/dpletts/pq3.html
